9 For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, you are God’s building. 10 According to the grace of God which was given to me, as a wise master builder I have laid the foundation, and another builds on it. But let each one take heed how he builds on it. 11 For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.16 Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? 17 If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are (1 Corinthians 3:9-11, 16-17 NKJV).
I saw this post on a friends wall and I thought it was beautiful on it’s own. Yet some would benefit from a little expounding of one of the words I added to make this more complete! I hope you agree!
Diligently – adjective 1. constant in effort to accomplish something; attentive and persistent in doing anything: a diligent student. 2. done or pursued with persevering attention; painstaking: a diligent search of the files.
You see I needed to add this little but powerful word especially at this time of the year, when our saviour prayed so Diligently to the Father, Jesus was sweating Blood! So next time you ask once and then say God’s not real, because He didn’t give you right away the candy you asked Him for, Remember Dear Saint, Jesus sweated Blood before He went to the Cross for YOU!
Diligently SEEKING I am finding.
Diligently ASKING I am receiving.
Diligently KNOCKING it is being answered to me.
We have to actively pursue. We have to Seek, Ask and Knock. We have to pray. We have to Begin in the Spirit, Continue in the Spirit and Finish in the Spirit.
I’m not perfect but I am Yielding to the Lord who is perfecting me. Not making Excuses for my Sins, but relying on the Spirit of God to purge me of my sins daily. Not clinging to my Sins but forsaking them. Repenting and fleeing from all unrighteousness.
This is Discipleship…it’s free but we must be willing to give up everything in order to Sincerely and Wholeheartedly follow Christ. He doesn’t need our excuses…just our faith. Trust in the Lord with all our heart, mind and soul.
Strive to maintain the mind of Christ because the body of Christ belongs Solely to Christ.
